Lazaroo – Monday, April 23, 2012

Overwhelmed by God’s goodness, pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints…”
(Ephesians 1:18)
So many of us are chasing dollars, Jesus.
Some killing ourselves to get rich.
But even those of us who don’t love money
wouldn’t mind having a little more.
This longing to accumulate wealth is from You, isn’t it?
The key is to understand
where I’m supposed to pile it up!
This world isn’t my home.
I’m here for an incredibly short while.
So down here…
I’m playing with Monopoly money.
When the game’s over
it all goes back in the box.
The trick is to do what all foreign travelers learn to do:
Before I leave this world
exchange as much of it as possible
into the currency of my home.
