Lazaroo – Monday, April 16, 2012

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in stunned gratitude:
“The angel of the LORD went up from Gilgal to Bokim…”
(Judges 2:1)
This was no ordinary angel, Jesus.
This was “The angel of the LORD” –
the one who represented Your very Presence.
Could this have been Gabriel – the same angel who appeared to Mary 1,400 years later and revealed to her she was about to become Your mother?
That has real significance, because the implication is
this was one time Your angel
didn’t fly
disappearing in one place
to suddenly appear in another.
This angel walked.
If, as some scholars believe, Bokim was at or near Shiloh, that was pretty close to 30 miles –
uphill all the way
over rugged terrain
at least two arduous days.
Why?
Was it to make sure Your people were riveted on his message?
That’s just who You are, isn’t it?
You’ll go to any lengths
pay any price
to impact my heart.
