Lazaroo – Friday, April 6, 2012
No comments, Apr 06, 2012
Ask God for eyes that see, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush.”
(Exodus 3:2)
This isn’t a sight Moses was used to seeing, Jesus.
Me neither.
Bushes are common.
So is fire.
A bush on fire is less common –
but it happens.
It’s that angel-in-the-burning-bush thing that got Moses’ attention…
and mine.
You’re the one who sets the rules.
You define what’s normal
and what’s paranormal.
Just about the time we figure out the location of the lines You’ve drawn
You color outside the lines.
Why do You do things like that?
Is it because we take Your everyday wonders for granted?
Is it because we quit seeing the beauty of bushes
cease being fascinated with fire?
Is that why You occasionally break Your own rules
just to remind us that the God who can do that
is always there?
