Lazaroo – Thursday, March 8, 2012
No comments, Mar 08, 2012
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with renewed determination:
“Your silver has become dross, your choice wine is diluted with water.”
(Isaiah 1:22)
Is this happening anywhere in my life, Jesus?
Have You entrusted to my care something of value
that inattention and neglect have allowed to tarnish
losing its luster, making it appear dull and ugly?
Have You entrusted to my care someone of infinite worth
whose impact has been weakened and diluted
by things that were never intended to be part of their life?
If this has happened to a person You’ve placed under my care, it may not be my fault entirely.
It may not be my fault at all.
After all, You’ve granted each person the freedom to choose.
But what am I going to do about it?
Give up?
Write them off?
Follow Pilate’s example and wash my hands of them?
Or follow Your example with me
and relentlessly pursue them with love?
