Lazaroo – Friday, February 3, 2012
No comments, Feb 03, 2012
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud…aware of your need for supernatural strength:
“The king of Jericho was told, ‘Look! Some of the Israelites have come here tonight to spy out the land.’”
(Joshua 2:2)
This king already knew that several million people needing a place to live had camped outside his doorstep.
Now he hears they’ve sent spies to study his city’s defenses.
That had to ruin his day.
So what about me?
How do I handle brutal news?
I dare not fall apart.
The temptation to go limp
sink into the fetal position
might be strong
but I can’t give in to it.
Neither can I seek refuge in denial.
I can’t pretend my situation is better than it is.
No.
I’ve got to face it.
Understand it.
Only then can I deal with it.
But in the face of imminent disaster, where do I find that kind of
strength
wisdom
composure?
Only in You, LORD.
Only in You.
