Lazaroo – Thursday, January 26, 2012

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with excuseless humility:
“Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.”
(Exodus 3:1)
Little did he know, Jesus.
One day Moses would return to this mountain –
with a couple of million people in tow
near death from thirst
yelling at Moses
until You told him to strike a rock
and send water gushing out.
Later, he returned to this mountain
received the Ten Commandments
then came down from the mountain
to discover Your people worshiping idols.
There, Moses ground their golden idols to powder
scattered it on their water
and made them drink.
You prepared him for all of that
by meeting him there 1on1.
I’ve got to keep meeting with You like this, Jesus…
because like Moses
I have no idea what lies ahead.
