Lazaroo – Thursday, January 19, 2012
No comments, Jan 19, 2012
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in constantly renewing hope:
“Who of you is left who saw this house in its former glory?”
(Haggai 2:3)
That can be tough, can’t it, Jesus?
It’s one thing to have no idea that things can be any different than they are right now.
It’s quite another to remember a day
when things were much, much better.
When I can look back and recall
when I had more spare time
when my finances weren’t so tight
when my health was better
when my relationships were more loving
when my prospects seemed brighter
it’s really hard to maintain a positive attitude.
But that’s the comparison game, isn’t it?
That’s me trying to see with my myopic human vision.
That’s my failure to grasp what You’re up to
the amazing things You’re about to do if I will only
stay faithful
keep doing what I know to do
keep my eyes focused solely on You.
