Lazaroo – Monday, December 19, 2011
No comments, Dec 19, 2011
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in gratitude, obedience and trust:
“He sent dispatches to all parts of the kingdom…that every man should be ruler over his own household.”
(Esther 1:22)
Yeah, well…
that’s not a thing some king can legislate, is it, Jesus?
He can issue all the proclamations he wants to make
but that’s not going to change who wears the pants in the family.
The position of household leader can’t be merely given
it’s a trust that has to be earned.
Just as You’re head of the Church
You’ve named the husband head of the home.
But You don’t stop with giving him a title.
You call on the husband to follow Your lead
and give himself up for his wife
to be considerate of her
treat her with respect
love her as much as he loves himself
or You’ll cut him off at the knees
and refuse to listen when he cries out for help.
