Lazaroo – Saturday, November 26, 2011

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with rock-solid determination:
“‘For, said Peter, ‘it is written in the book of Psalms, “May his place be deserted; let there be no one to dwell in it,” and, “May another take his place of leadership.”’”
(Acts 1:20)
Peter and the other apostles were faced with a dilemma, Jesus –
how to replace Judas, who betrayed You and committed suicide.
They could have held a brainstorming session and come up with something on their own.
They could have consulted with so-called experts on how to replace key staff members.
Instead, the first thing they did was turn to Your Word.
That’s who I’m determined to be.
I don’t want to invent my own plans, schemes and fixes
then when you come to mind as an afterthought
have the nerve to ask You at the last minute
to bless what I’ve devised.
For me, may it always be:
You.
First.
