Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, from the depths of your soul:

“Because of the violence against your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame…”
(Obadiah 1:10)

It doesn’t seem to work like that anymore, Jesus.

Violent people aren’t shamed, they’re rewarded.

But this isn’t the first time that’s happened, is it?

Not long after Your creation
the bullies took over.

You designed the strong to take care of the weak.
Instead, they took advantage of them

cheated them
drove them from their homes
enslaved them
denied them justice
tortured and killed them.

So you sent a flood to wipe out the human race and start over.

But here we are again.

Only now, the perpetrators are just as likely to be

bankers
politicians
judges
religious leaders
writers
movie producers
video game programmers.

which makes me wonder:

How long is it going to be before You wipe the earth clean

and start over again?
