Lazaroo – Friday, July 15, 2011
5 comments, Jul 15, 2011
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in honest, humble submission:
“…as the LORD our God commanded us, we set out from Horeb and went toward the hill country of the Amorites through all that vast and dreadful desert…”
(Deuteronomy 1:19)
Please help me with this, Jesus.
I tend to think that if You “command” me –
if I’m truly following You and not my own
whims
ideas
preferences –
that my life will be at least…
manageable.
I’m not really prepared for you to send me through
“a vast and dreadful desert.”
A short side trip through an ordinary desert?
Okay. I can see that.
But a “vast and dreadful” desert?
A hot, brutal experience
that goes on and on and on –
seemingly forever?
Huh-uh.
Well…I say that…but it’s not my call, is it?
It’s Yours.
If, for the sake of Your kingdom that’s where I need to go
then the vast and dreadful desert it is.

brothers, thank you .. very important scriptures. Hebrews 3:7-11 you led me to Hebrew in study tonight. Also worship is so important to keep us where we need to be Psalms 95:1-11 repeats the warning but proceeds the warning with the importance of kneeling before the Lord in reverent praise and supplication .
