Lazaroo – Saturday, July 9, 2011

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud to the God of the second chance:
“God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob.”
(Exodus 2:24)
O Jesus…
You remember!
even when I forget.
You remember every promise You’ve made to me…
and every promise I’ve made to You.
You remember every promise I’ve ever kept
and every unkept promise I’ve forgotten.
After reading a great article, blog or book
being inspired by someone’s Godly example
hearing a challenging sermon
being deeply moved by a powerful song
receiving an amazing answer to my desperate prayer
being convicted by an awesome passage in the Bible
I’ve made more promises than I can count
earnestly, sincerely pledging greater-than-ever devotion to You
only to permit the distractions of life to crowd back in
and lose my focus on You.
But all my promises are still in force, aren’t they?
Though I forget…
You remember.
