Lazaroo – Wednesday, June 8, 2011

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in holy fear:
“We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.”
(Hebrews 2:1)
I don’t want to drift away, Jesus.
In the past I’ve been guilty of
running away
even sneaking away.
That sounds terrible, doesn’t it?
But it’s the truth.
Once upon a time I knew the right thing to do
but had no heart for it
so I ran.
There have been times – ugly times –
when I knew the right thing to do
wanted others to think I was doing it
but I wasn’t.
so I sneaked.
I am so ashamed.
You know I’ve begged You to forgive me.
Based on Your Word
You have.
You know my heart, LORD!
how passionately I now seek to please You
It would break my heart if without realizing it…
I began to slowly drift away.
Guess I’d better pay careful attention.
