Lazaroo – Saturday, April 2, 2011

Hold nothing back, as you pray this Lazaroo to God:
“To the LORD I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill.”
(Psalms 3:4)
You know the briefest thought that flits through my mind, Jesus.
You weigh the deepest meditation of my heart.
You detect the softest whisper that passes my lips.
But there are times
when my prayer to You
can’t be contained in a thought, a meditation or a whisper.
It builds
beginning deep within the marrow of my bones
surging up through every fiber of my being
gathering shocking force in the recesses of my lungs
until it bursts out of my mouth
in a cry
a shout
a wail
a moan
a scream.
Sometimes it’s fear.
At other times it tears out of me in
anger
shock
pain
sorrow
confusion
surprise.
But best of all is when I lift my voice to You
in praise.
