Lazaroo – Saturday, March 12, 2011
No comments, Mar 12, 2011
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with lavish love:
“On [God] we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers.”
(2 Corinthians 1:10-11)
I need a little help with this one, Jesus.
Okay.
I need a lot of help – and not just with this one!
But for the moment, please help me focus on those seven words I just read:
“…as you help us by your prayers.”
Here’s my question:
If I’ve set my hope solely on You
if I have direct access to You – and I do!
if You alone can perform the countless miracles required to deliver me
then why in the world do I need the help of other people’s prayers?
I’m not saying I don’t.
I know I do.
I just don’t know why!
…unless You’ve deliberately set this thing up to keep me intimately connected
to the rest of my brothers and sisters.
