Lazaroo – Tuesday, December 28, 2010
No comments, Dec 28, 2010
Ask God to open your eyes, as you pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud to Him:
“Season all your grain offerings with salt. Do not leave the salt of the covenant of your God out of your grain offerings; add salt to all your offerings.”
(Leviticus 2:13)
At first glance, there doesn’t appear to be anything profound about using salt.
After all, only a portion of it was burned on the altar.
The rest was eaten by the priests.
But this isn’t just about making a grain offering taste better, is it, Jesus?
With You, it always goes deeper.
Salt has special meaning for You
…and therefore for me.
Once, You used a single bowlful of salt to heal an entire town’s poisonous water supply.
Salt me, Jesus!
Never let me poison those around me.
From this day forward…
cause my actions and conversation
to always be full of grace and truth
seasoned with Your “salt”
so that everything I say or do
builds others up.
