Lazaroo – Thursday, December 9, 2010
No comments, Dec 09, 2010
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with over-the-top trust:
“Therefore I will block her path with thornbushes; I will wall her in so that she cannot find her way.”
(Hosea 2:6)
I’ve had that experience, Jesus.
You’ve blocked my path with thornbushes
every step I took in my intended direction
stuck me
hurt me
halted my progress.
I know all too well how it feels to be walled in
to try to go this way
then that
then another and another
and finally come to the realization this was from You –
that until it was Your time
or unless I got to the bottom of why You were blocking me
I wasn’t going to be allowed to take another step.
I didn’t like it at the time.
Thornbush encounters
are frustrating, painful
sometimes traumatic.
But looking back, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude that You stopped me in my tracks.
I was about to plunge over a cliff.
