Lazaroo – Tuesday, November 23, 2010
No comments, Nov 23, 2010
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with intensely focused attention:
“If you had responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known to you.”
(Proverbs 1:23)
That’s who I long to be, Jesus –
a responder.
When You have to correct me
I don’t want to mouth off to You
I don’t want to be one of those pouters, those sulkers
I don’t want to be one of those, “Yeah, but – ” types
who has an excuse ready for why I did what I did
or why I failed to do what I should have done.
I don’t want to be a casual responder either –
who gets back to You when it’s convenient.
I want to be an instant responder.
I want the first thing out of my mouth to be:
“You’re right.
I’m so sorry.
“With Your help
I’ll make this right if it kills me.”
