Lazaroo – Monday, November 15, 2010

Tell God exactly how you feel as you pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud:
“When Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite official heard about this, they were very much disturbed that someone had come to promote the welfare of the Israelites.”
(Nehemiah 2:10)
Why are there people like this, Jesus –
people who aren’t content with the challenge of running their own lives
who seemingly have some inner compulsion to meddle
who have way too much extra time on their hands
who just can’t bear for something good
to happen to somebody else
who can’t live with the prospect of someone else doing well
for fear it might negatively impact them
or simply make them look bad?
Life seems tough enough just dealing with normal challenges –
without having to do battle
with people who don’t have a legitimate reason to interfere.
So.
As much as I hate it when others do this to me…
am I doing it to anyone else?
