Lazaroo – Wednesday, November 3, 2010

Save this Lazaroo to cry aloud to God…when you’re having “one of those days”:
“Meanwhile, Abner son of Ner, the commander of Saul’s army, had taken Ish-Bosheth son of Saul and…made him king over…all Israel.”
(2 Samuel 2:8-9)
There’s always a “meanwhile,” isn’t there, Jesus?
Doesn’t matter how much good is going on
how many victories You’ve given me
there’s always some “Abner” out there
busy doing something
thinking up something
cooking up something
that’s going to make my life harder.
Some days I can handle that.
Some days I can just shrug it off.
Some days I can smile and say, “Hey, that’s life!”
But today isn’t one of them.
Today I don’t want one more thing to go wrong.
Today I don’t want one more person to look at me sideways.
Today I don’t want one more responsibility slapped on my plate.
I’m on empty.
I’m all used up.
I need You.
