Lazaroo – Friday, October 22, 2010
No comments, Oct 22, 2010
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with no-holds-barred surrender:
“The LORD said to Moses and Aaron: ‘The Israelites are to camp around the Tent of Meeting some distance from it, each man under his standard with the banners of his family.’”
(Numbers 2:1-2)
What are my family’s banners, Jesus?
You know my parents and grandparents.
But You know far more than that:
You know my great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandparents, too
not to mention their great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandparents.
Do I have some awesome men and women in that bunch, LORD?
some people whose genes might pop up at any moment
to lift me to a higher level of impact for Your kingdom?
I’m certain I have some stinkers in that bunch, too.
No doubt that’s where I got some of these sterling qualities
I keep wrestling with, day and night 😉
I’ll take the good “banners” with the bad, LORD…
so long as Your banner over me
is love.
