Lazaroo – Tuesday, September 21, 2010

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with white-hot fervor:
“…you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power…”
(1 Peter 1:4-5)
Jesus, You are my shield.
You are the one who protects me from all the flaming arrows Satan fires at me.
Nor are You the kind of shield who merely delays my ultimate defeat.
Yours is the shield of victory!
I don’t have to be the mightiest warrior in Your army.
Even though I’m still in training, still learning how to fight
You continue to shield me
as long as it takes.
The one thing You require of me?
Faith.
Faith that You are my shield.
Faith that You’ve got my back
and my front, top, bottom and both sides.
Not gargantuan faith.
You’ll honor even a little faith –
faith the size of a mustard seed
because whatever faith I’m able to muster
is a gift straight from You.
I believe, LORD!
Help my unbelief.
