Lazaroo – Friday, August 13, 2010

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with all your heart, soul, mind and strength:
“Now a priest of Midian had seven daughters, and they came to draw water and fill the troughs to water their father’s flock. Some shepherds came along and drove them away, but Moses got up and came to their rescue and watered their flock.”
(Exodus 2:16-17)
What a beautiful moment, Jesus!
Moses was running for his life –
nearly 400 miles away from the only home he had ever known.
He sees shepherds mistreating some women.
The shepherds and women are total strangers to him.
It’s absolutely none of his affair.
But he makes it his affair.
Outnumbered, he stands up to the shepherds to protect and help these vulnerable women.
During the scariest time of his life, he risks it all for somebody else.
No wonder You chose such a man to lead Your people!
Please help me put aside my own pain
to risk it all for others.
