Lazaroo – Friday, July 30, 2010
No comments, Jul 30, 2010
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in holy fear:
“Let her remove the adulterous look from her face…Otherwise I will strip her naked and make her as bare as on the day she was born.”
(Hosea 2:2-3)
Oh, LORD Jesus.
Is there even the slightest hint of an adulterous look on my face?
Am I turning to anyone but You?
Is there anyone I would rather please than You?
Is there anyone or anything I fear more than You?
Am I expecting anyone but You to deliver me from the things I fear?
Are You just one of the solutions I consider
instead of The Solution?
Do I call it “luck” or “circumstances”
when You intervene in my life?
Am I trusting my
intelligence
personality
strength
position
ability
family
friends
experience
resourcefulness
to get me through life?
If so, please hold up Your mirror
show me “that look”
and help me wipe it off my face.
