Lazaroo – Wednesday, July 14, 2010

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with sharply focused eyes and ears:
“Wisdom calls aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the public squares; at the head of the noisy streets she cries out, in the gateways of the city she makes her speech:”
(Proverbs 1:20-21)
Open my eyes, Jesus!
I don’t want to merely watch what’s going on
I want to see.
Open my ears, Father!
I don’t want to only listen to what’s being said
I want to hear.
Speak to me through wars and rumors of wars.
Teach me as I walk through a crowded mall
or an empty one.
Wise me up in the deceptive game of politics.
Let me see Your hand
in the midst of a sports spectacle.
Let me hear Your voice
piercing through the entertainment media.
Help me discover You
on every search engine.
You’ve promised I will find You
when I seek You with all my heart.
