Lazaroo – Monday, May 31, 2010
No comments, May 31, 2010
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with eyes-wide-open faith:
“He rebukes the sea and dries it up; he makes all the rivers run dry.”
(Nahum 1:4)
I love this reminder of Your power, Jesus.
You’re the Maker of heaven and earth and everything in it.
All You have to do is say one word to Your creation
and it instantly obeys You.
You not only have the power to stop the rain
but to make it rain…and rain…and rain.
Drought and flood –
both come from You.
But knowing this not only gives me reason to worship You
it also challenges me to the very core of my faith.
Since You control the weather
You are the Cause of all climate-related suffering.
I can’t hide behind
the feeble explanation of “natural causes”
a mythical superstition called “Mother Nature.”
It’s You.
Do I trust You even in the midst of disaster?
Yes.
I believe.
Help me overcome my unbelief.
