Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with sold-out surrender:

“We write this to make our joy complete.”
(1 John 1:4)

John didn’t have to hear about You, Jesus.

He didn’t have to read about You. He

saw You
touched You
walked with You
ate dinner with You
asked You tough questions
listened to Your voice as You answered
watched the crowds respond in awe to You
experienced thousands of Your stunning miracles
saw You arrested, tried, tortured, crucified, dead, buried
spent 40 miraculous days with You after Your resurrection
watched with angels as You ascended straight up into heaven

and still

his joy wasn’t complete.

Until

he shared all this with others!

Is that why my joy isn’t complete, Jesus?

I’ve always thought it was because I hadn’t yet seen You face to face.

But now I’m beginning to wonder:

Could it be because I’m keeping far too much of Your

goodness
blessing
favor
truth
love

to myself?
