Lazaroo – Sunday, May 2, 2010
No comments, May 02, 2010
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with utter abandon:
“So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord…”
(2 Timothy 1:8)
I confess I do experience a barrier, Jesus –
especially when I start to say something about You to someone I suspect may not be a Christian.
But I don’t think it’s shame.
If I had to guess, I’d have to say it feels an awful lot like…
fear.
But why?
That makes no sense!
I’m not afraid to tell people about a new product I found at the store –
so why do I suddenly feel fear when I sense an inner prompt to tell someone about my greatest discovery of all?
It’s Satan, isn’t it?
He’s planting thoughts
doing his best to keep me from speaking up for You.
But in reality, he’s the one who’s afraid –
terrified that the person I’m with
is about to hear the life-changing message of Your gospel
and choose You.
