Lazaroo – Saturday, May 1, 2010
No comments, May 01, 2010
Hold nothing back, as you pray this Lazaroo out loud:
“I also said to him, ‘If it pleases the king, may I have letters to the governors of Trans-Euphrates, so that they will provide me safe-conduct until I arrive in Judah?’”
(Nehemiah 2:7)
Nehemiah trusted in You, Father.
He knew You were His Source.
He knew You alone could protect him on his journey home.
But he was still willing to ask for the help of human beings.
I know some people who believe the only thing they have to do is pray
then sit back and do nothing.
I know others who act as if they have to do everything themselves
and rarely take the time to pray.
By contrast, Nehemiah prayed hard
then worked as hard as he prayed.
Holy Spirit, remind me to gather the best human help I possibly can
while praying my head off
because it all depends on You.
In Jesus’ Name!
