Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in openmouthed wonder:

“The appearance of the living creatures was like burning coals of fire or like torches. Fire moved back and forth among the creatures; it was bright, and lightning flashed out of it. The creatures sped back and forth like flashes of lightning.”
(Ezekiel 1:13-14)

I hardly know how to respond to this glimpse of heaven, Jesus.

It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen on earth
unlike anything I’ve ever imagined.

But something tells me Ezekiel’s description of these creatures of fire

doesn’t begin to do them justice.

I’d love to see what he saw!

Well…part of me would.

In reality, I would probably respond the way he did

and fall on my face
my humanity overwhelmed
by the terror of Your otherworldly glory.

It gives me goose bumps to realize that one day

because I’ve put my trust in You

Ezekiel’s vision will become my joy-filled reality.
