Lazaroo – Sunday, February 14, 2010
No comments, Feb 14, 2010
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in quiet trust:
“On hearing the sound of the trumpet, Joab asked, ‘What’s the meaning of all the noise in the city?’”
(1 Kings 1:41)
There is coming a day when Jerusalem will once again be filled with noise, Jesus –
along with every other city on this planet
a day when there will be noise on the mountains
like that of an uncountable multitude.
On that day, the nations will be in uproar
but the terrifying noise they hear won’t originate from earth.
That awful sound will come from the ends of the heavens
as You muster Your army
for war.
Terror will seize them
pain and anguish will grip them
their faces aghast, aflame
every hand will go limp
every heart will melt.
O God.
I am so thankful that because I have given myself to You
I belong to the day!
and not to the night
of that world-ending destruction.
