Lazaroo – Tuesday, February 2, 2010
No comments, Feb 02, 2010
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with white-hot fervor:
“But how can I bear your problems and your burdens and your disputes all by myself?”
(Deuteronomy 1:12)
I can identify with Moses, Jesus.
I truly do want to be there for my friends, family members, church members and coworkers – all the people You’ve put in my life.
But it’s too much!
Dear God, people’s lives are messy! They’ve got
marital strife
health worries
financial problems
work-related crises
social skills issues
stage-of-life challenges
trouble with their parents, kids or grandkids
It’s overwhelming.
At times, it makes me want to just run off and hide from everyone…because in addition to all their stuff
I’ve got my own struggles, too.
Still…I know I can’t cut them off.
Don’t want to sow that seed
cause I sure don’t want them to give up on me.
We need each other.
But not half so much
as we need You.
