Lazaroo – Thursday, January 28, 2010
No comments, Jan 27, 2010
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with every fiber of your being:
“At once the Spirit sent him out into the desert.”
(Mark 1:12)
I’ve got to admit –
this isn’t exactly what most of us expect, Jesus.
Lots of Christians I know expect the Holy Spirit to lead us out of the desert
not into it.
When things all of a sudden get hot and dry
when our souls are parched
when we’re panting for some of that living water You promised
when we’re staggering through the wasteland of problem after problem
many of us conclude that we must have somehow missed You
and made a wrong turn somewhere along the way.
Seldom does it occur to me to consider the possibility that You Yourself
have led me into the desert.
But why not?
I’m following You, Jesus.
If that’s where the Holy Spirit led You
why wouldn’t that be where He sometimes leads me?
