Lazaroo – Wednesday, January 27, 2010
No comments, Jan 27, 2010
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in holy wonder:
“The next day [Moses] went out and saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked the one in the wrong, ‘Why are you hitting your fellow Hebrew?’”
(Exodus 2:13)
Good question, Jesus.
Why do Your people “hit” each other?
Why do we
criticize each other
argue with each other
give up on each other
stop trusting each other
gossip about each other
take sides against each other
place negative labels on each other?
It has to break Your heart to see Your kids fighting like this.
It hurts us, too
wounds us
exhausts us
de-motivates us
makes us feel like giving up.
Even worse, it makes the lost and dying world we’re trying to reach
ridicule Your Church and mistrust our message about You.
I’ve been the victim of Christian infighting, LORD. I know how much it hurts.
Please, LORD!
In every such situation
help me be the peacemaker.
