Lazaroo – Thursday, January 14, 2010
No comments, Jan 14, 2010
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with somber humility:
“Wail, all you drinkers of wine; wail because of the new wine, for it has been snatched from your lips.”
(Joel 1:5)
Am I having any of these feelings, Jesus?
Is there something sweet I was hoping to taste that has been “snatched from my lips?”
If so, please show me
so I can deal with it in a way that truly honors You.
You know how hard it is for me to look forward to something
and have it taken away.
My disappointment is so great that I tend to rush right past the reason You allowed it.
So let me start there.
Why – at different times all throughout my life –
have You allowed me to have my expectations dashed?
Is it possible…
in spite of all my strongly held convictions, opinions and beliefs…
that You know better than I
what is best for me?
