Lazaroo – Saturday, October 31, 2009

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with lavish love:
“‘Ah, Sovereign LORD,’ I said, ‘I do not know how to speak; I am only a child.’”
(Jeremiah 1:6)
That’s exactly how I feel, Jesus.
I’m just a child.
Oh, I try to be “big.”
I try to come across to others as
wise
strong
mature
insightful
knowledgeable
but You know I’m not.
I’m only a child.
Of course…the good thing about that is
I know I don’t know.
That’s something, isn’t it?
Ha! At least I’m not on an ego trip!
There’s another thing I like about being a child:
You like children.
In fact, You said something stunning – that if I humble myself and become like a little child
I will be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
That fills me with hope, Jesus!
But the best part of all about being a child
is knowing Whose child I am.
