Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in openmouthed wonder:

“The Son is…sustaining all things by his powerful word.”
(Hebrews 1:3)

You did more than create the heavens and earth, Jesus.

You’re holding it all together.

In fact, You’re keeping it going the same way You started it –

the same way You healed the sick
the same way You cast out demons
the same way You hushed the storm
the same way You resurrected the dead

with Your Word.

Your Word is eternal.
Your Word stands firm.

Your Word never returns to You empty.

It accomplishes what You desire
It achieves the purpose for which You sent it

because You’re watching

to make sure it is perfectly fulfilled.

I love Your Word

but it makes me tremble.

Your word is like a fire.
Your word is like a hammer that shatters rock.

But this I know:

If I keep Your Word

I will never see death.
