Lazaroo – Tuesday, June 9, 2009

Jun 09, 2009 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with white-hot fervor:

“Early in the morning [Job] would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, ‘Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.’”
(Job 1:5)

I’m really grateful that I no longer have to sacrifice burnt offerings for the people I love, Jesus!

You sacrificed Yourself for them once for all, on the cross…just as You did for me.

Still…Job really loved his kids, didn’t he?

It was vitally important to him that those he loved had a good relationship with You.

It is to me, too.

I know I can’t make my friends and family love You.  That has to be their decision.

But I sure can pray for them.

And encourage them.

And make sure they have every resource they need to build a solid relationship with You.

And walk with You so authentically that they can safely follow in my footsteps.

Lord, help me to keep a focus on my family and friends and even those “neighbors” that I do not know yet. Help me to keep them in my hearts, minds, and prayers.
