Lazaroo – Friday, April 30, 2010
Apr 30, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in humble adulation:
“…the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.”
(1 Timothy 1:11)
I’m unworthy of so great a trust, Jesus.
First of all, I don’t even come close to deserving Your salvation.
I’m even less fit to share Your good news with others!
But maybe that’s the point.
When they see someone as flawed as I
carrying something as
perfect
beautiful
priceless
as Your gospel
maybe the contrast will startle them.
Maybe they will be struck by the amazing love of a God
who dares to place in the soiled, trembling hands of a mere mortal
the most precious message of all time:
that the Creator of heaven and earth
loves them so deeply
that through Your death on the cross
You are reconciling to Yourself all who come to You
not counting our sins against us!
O LORD…
help me be faithful with this trust.
