Lazaroo – Friday, February 28, 2014
Feb 28, 2014 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with no-holds-barred surrender:
“I did not want to do anything without your consent…”*
(Philemon 1:14)
That’s a tough goal, Jesus.
It sounds good
appears fair
but what if this key person doesn’t give their consent?
Am I to allow that to stop me?
What if I’m convinced I have to act?
What if I believe You want me to act?
Then I have to obey You
whether or not I have their consent.
Right?
Except…what if the confirmation
that protects me from self-delusion
that proves I have indeed heard from You
depends on their consent?
*Today’s is the 1,826th consecutive Lazaroo, completing five years. To God be the glory.
