Lazaroo – Friday, February 4, 2011
Feb 04, 2011 I Lazaroo.
As you pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, get in touch with your desire to thrill the heart of Your God:
“If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.”
(1 John 1:6)
I know Your grace is real, Jesus.
You don’t punish me as I deserve.
Mercy matters more to You than payback
Your love covers over all my sins.
What You did for me on the cross gave me a brand new start!
But Your love does not grant me a license to sin.
When I keep giving in to temptation
I throw away so much of what You’ve done for me
I block You from working through me to the full extent You desire
I squander opportunity after opportunity
I will never even know I missed.
O God!
I don’t want to drag myself into heaven
staggering under the load of my favorite sins
that I loved almost as much
as I love You.
