“The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble.”

You absolutely are that, Jesus:

my Refuge in times of trouble.

When I’m cornered –

nowhere to turn
no light at the end of my tunnel

disaster chasing me
destruction on my left
disgrace on my right
a brick wall in front of me

I call out to You and You rescue me!

You are my refuge.

When I’m hit with sickness

when I feel so bad I can’t even think
my strength gone

I call out to You and You rescue me!

You are my refuge.

When my enemies rise up against me

people too powerful for me
dedicated to my destruction

I call out to You and You rescue me!

You are my refuge.

But most amazing of all…

when I’ve sinned!

I call out to You and You rescue me.

You alone are my refuge.
