Lazaroo – Friday, July 13, 2012
Jul 13, 2012 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with new incentive:
“The LORD said to Satan, ‘Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.’”
(Job 2:6)
I’ve got to ask You, Jesus:
Are such discussions between You and Satan
confined to near-perfect people like Job?
If so, I can relax.
A bit.
But if they include people like me
I’m terrified.
Although…
it would explain a lot of what’s going on with me.
I’m fairly sure You haven’t been bragging to Satan about me lately!
but it sure seems like Satan has been freed to get his hands on me.
Of course, I may have brought some of that on myself –
by my disobedience
carelessness
inattention
lack of self-discipline
failure to follow through
laziness.
Hmmm.
Maybe if I clean those up
Satan won’t have license to put his hands on me quite so often.
Or at least…
I’ll give You something to brag about.
