Lazaroo – Friday, July 26, 2013

Jul 26, 2013 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in exhilarating freedom:

“And he worshiped the LORD there.”
(1 Samuel 1:28)

He worshiped You “there” –

in Your house, at Shiloh.

It’s a little tough for me to make it to Shiloh today, Jesus.

Where’s the best place for me to worship You?

In a church building?

To step into some of the great cathedrals of the world
would no doubt so inspire me

that worship would flow from my being.

Then I imagine pulling up to a tiny country church…

white paint peeling
grass growing high in the yard.

What if I would step inside, sense oneness with the saints

who once sang “Rock of Ages” in this hallowed place?

But why does it have to be in a church building?

Why not while looking up at the sky
talking with a friend
lying in bed at night?

Where is the best place to worship You, LORD?

Wherever I am.

Sometimes just hearing the name Jesus will bring us to Him in worship in our minds quietly anytime anywhere. The world is getting smaller, so much smaller and more and more evil. We need the courage the Holy Spirit can give us. Now is the time to enrich & immerse ourselves with the relationship that God so lovingly offers us .. preparing for the time when we may be persecuted for our beliefs .. God has said it will come … and He has promised us He will give us the words we will need.
