Lazaroo – Friday, June 25, 2010
Jun 25, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with transparent humility:
“In him we were also chosen…in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.”
(Ephesians 1:11-12)
There is nothing I want more, Jesus –
for people who see what I do
to praise You.
Besides, that’s only fair!
Everything about me that is remotely commendable
comes solely from You.
I don’t want any praise to go to me.
Well, maybe a little –
just enough to encourage me
put some wind in my sails
and keep me going!
But even at that, it is my heart’s desire to remain faithful to You during those times
when no one thanks me
when they ignore or find fault with the good I am trying to do.
You see what I do.
You understand the intent of my heart.
And that’s all I need to know
to sleep well tonight.
