Lazaroo – Friday, March 29, 2013
Mar 29, 2013 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in humble adulation:
“Now to the King eternal, immortal…”
(1 Timothy 1:17)
This is awesome, Jesus:
Unlike me…
You’re immortal.
And yet…
You know what it’s like to be what I am:
mortal.
You came to this earth as a baby and tasted it all firsthand –
spent 33 years on this planet experiencing mortality.
I can’t imagine how difficult that was for You!
I’m used to these limitations.
You weren’t.
It’s one thing to never have been immortal –
I don’t have anything to miss!
Well, wait a minute.
This may sound crazy to other mortals, but I know I can say it to You:
I think I miss immortality after all.
There are moments when something powerful rises up within me and I sense that I was created for more than this.
Thanks to what You did for me on the cross
my date with immortality
is set.
