Lazaroo – Friday, October 15, 2010
Oct 15, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with all your heart, soul, mind and strength:
“You place defiled food on my altar. But you ask, ‘How have we defiled you?’ “By saying that the Lord’s table is contemptible. When you bring blind animals for sacrifice, is that not wrong? When you sacrifice crippled or diseased animals, is that not wrong? Try offering them to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you?’ says the LORD Almighty.”
(Malachi 1:7-8)
Am I bringing you any blind animals, Jesus?
Am I offering You any crippled or diseased animals –
and calling that my “sacrifice?”
Seeing how upset this makes You
upsets me.
No, it’s true –
the days of animal sacrifice are over.
But the days of sacrificial worship by those of us who call ourselves by Your Name
continue to this very moment.
If I’m offering you anything less than my best in any area of my life
and calling that “worship” –
show me.
