Lazaroo – Friday, October 4, 2013
Oct 04, 2013 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, from the depths of your soul:
“So Solomon sat on the throne of his father David…”
(1 Kings 2:12)
Few of us get to do that, Jesus.
Not many of us have kings for fathers.
On the other hand, we all have fathers.
Some of us know who our fathers are
some of us don’t.
But there’s a sense in which we all sit on their throne.
Present or absent, our dads marked us:
by their genetics
by the examples they set
by the prayers they fervently prayed for us
or didn’t.
May all the good in my dad be mine…
but please – none of the bad.
