This is my fair warning, isn’t it?

If I ever get to the place where I ignore Your wisdom

reject Your leadership in my life again and again and again
stubbornly keep going my own way

If I keep acting like I know better than You do

what will make me happiest
what works for me

then there is coming a day

when I will experience the consequences of my choices

when the very thing You predicted would happen

comes true

when all the warnings of those Godly people You put in my life

come crashing down on my head

leaving me nowhere to turn.

I may finally be ready to listen

but be unable to hear a word.
