What a great goal, Jesus!

That’s the aim I want to have for everyone in my life.
That’s what I hope all my efforts in their behalf will bring them:

Joy.

Not fun – though that’s fine.
It just doesn’t last.

Not happiness – though it’s nice.
It’s a fickle emotion that comes and goes.

Joy.

Joy – true joy – comes only from You.

No matter what happens
it remains.

No matter who hurts them
they still have You!

…and the warmth of Your

life-giving
stabilizing
comforting
eye-brightening
hope-generating
confidence-building
mercies-new-every-morning

Joy.
